As a student at Sarah Lawrence College, I have always been interested in one our own: alumni, Rahm Emanuel.

He has this political persona of being this an aggressive hardass, and the fact that he studied dance at my college fascinated me. I would read about him and follow his political career, and could never put the two different Rahm Emanuels together: the one who would send a dead fish to a colleague or knew more uses of the F word than some sailors I know, with the one who could do perfect pirouettes.

This year, for my journalism class, I decided to explore these two different, and conflicting sides of Rahm Emanuel. From my investigating and reporting, I wrote this profile: The Political Dancing Bulldog: How Rahm Emanuel discarded his ballet slippers and took on Washington.
